We felt compelled to update our gallery of magnificently-muscled animals when a new photo emerged of one of its stars, Roger.
Our main kang is featured later in the gallery decimating a metal can, but this pic from The Kangaroo Sanctuary in Australia shows that Roger is still in supreme condition. If he doesn’t own the kangaroo version of the Sandow trophy, then there really is no justice in the world.
More power to you, Roger the Roo. Check out some of the other beasts that made our list, and really, what is your excuse?
KING OF THE JUNGLE
There's lots of reasons why this big cat is considered the king of the jungle, as few animals can match the its size, strength and ferocity. Along with the lion's distinctive mane, this beautiful beast is sporting some serious muscle. Check out those triceps!
THOR THE DOBERMAN PINSCHER
While the Doberman is known to make an excellent guard dog, this chest-thumping Dobbie stands head and shoulders above the rest. If there were bodybuilding events for canines, Thor the Doberman Pinscher would be a front-runner for top dog.
THE MAJESTIC HORSE
Most equines are known to be muscular and majestic in stature, and this strong stallion doesn't disappoint. With its massive, muscle-rippled body, you've got to wonder how those spindly legs carry all the weight down the stretch.
BELGIAN BLUE BULL
Holy cow! These bulls, dubbed "Belgian Blues," are born with a genetic condition, which doubles the amount of muscle on their bodies. They have an increased ability to turn food into lean muscle and reduce fat. Don't you wish you were born with this genetic condition?
ROGER THE KANGAROO
Ready to go a few rounds with this muscle-bound, marsupial? Good luck! Look at the upper body on this killer kang. We knew things were larger in the land down under, but this is ridiculous.
THE PIT BULL
As if the breed wasn't intimidating enough, imagine running into this badass during a walk in the park. Fortunately, the vast majority of Pit bulls are actually very friendly dogs that make great family companions. They're smart, easy-going and highly loyal to the pack. And who in their right mind would mess with you with this jacked hound standing ground.
