By deciding to enter both the Under-210 pound class and the main event on consecutive days, Silvio Samuel set the table for weekend feast at the Europa Super Show.

On Friday night at the Dallas Convention Center, Samuel polished off the appetizer by overpowering the rest of the field in the Under 210-pound division to take home first place and the $3,000 prize. But that doesn't mean he isn't hungry for more.

"This is a win that I've been looking for," Samuel said. "Tomorrow's show will be taken witheven more seriousness, and everything will be done with more perfection. The big guys are not going to find it so easy. I didn't come here to lose. "

Samuel, who decided to enter the fray at the Europa just two weeks ago, shocked everyone by weighing in at 206 pounds at the Thursday weigh-in, close to 10 pounds lighter than he was when placing fifth at the Colorado Pro in June. He took the stage in perhaps his best condition to date, displaying his signature round muscle bellies and razor-sharp conditioning to go with vastly improved detail, separation and sweep to his quads.

With Samuel's win basically a formality, the 16 other under 210 competitors were left to fight for second place. In a close matchup between Guy Ducasse and "Tricky" Ricky Jackson, that honor went to Jackson.

On the women's side, Mah-Ann Mendoza took home the lightweight honors while Tazzie Columb won the heavyweight, with Mendoza winning overall honors.

In fitness, Adela Garcia tumbled past Tanji Johnson (2nd) and Mindi O'Brien (3rd) to capture the first-place prize.

Shannon Meteraud captured the figure crown with Natalie Benson finishing second.
