The Ms. Olympia, Fitness and Bikini Olympia contests concluded tonight at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and when all was said and done, one record was tied while another was shattered and a new division saw the coronation of its very first champion.

FITNESS OLYMPIA

She saved her best for when it mattered most and tonight, Adela Garcia proved that her best was more than enough to walk away with a record fifth Fitness Olympia title. The 38-year old Dominican Republic native brought perhaps her tightest physique to date, showing remarkable overall detail and beautiful lines. Her high-energy routine, punctuated by gravity-defying strength moves, helped her out-distance a tough field. Tanji Johnson duplicated her runner-up finish of last year based mainly on the merits of her seamlessly crafted routine and Trish Warren moved up a spot from '09, taking third place.

BIKINI OLYMPIA

The IFBB Pro League bikini division is enjoying a wildly popular first year and amidst a highly competitive field of 24 competitors, Sonia Gonzales had the right combination of shape, tone and sex appeal to emerge as the inaugural Bikini Olympia winner. Gonzales, who made the switch over from the figure division, won three contests heading into tonight's show, including the first two IFBB bikini contests held earlier this March. Nathalia Melo, a heavy favorite after winning the Europa Show of Champions and Pittsburgh Pro Bikini contests midseason, grabbed the runner-up spot with Nicole Nagrani, who won the Tampa Pro Bikini Championships one week after earning her pro card with an overall victory at Team Universe, finished in the third spot.

MS OLYMPIA

Iris Kyle continued her dominance with her sixth overall Ms. Olympia title, tying her with Cory Everson and putting her two-shy of Lenda Murray's record of eight (Kyle won the heavyweight class but not the overall in 2001). And she did it with an overwhelming arsenal, highlighted by superb shape, full muscle bellies, intricate details and conditioning that none of the other competitors could touch - particularly though the hamstrings and glutes. In a repeat of the Ms. International held earlier this March, Yaxeni Oriquen-Garcia - in her best condition since beating Kyle here in '05 - and a shredded Debi Laszewski, finished in second and third, respectively.
