It’s a desire to be the best that keeps the competitive fire burning for Fouad Abiad. After more thsn s decade of iron warfare, he has numerous top-five finishes to his credit on the IFBB circuit. In many respects, his career has been marked by a good deal of success, including a runner-up spot at the Tampa Pro in 2009, and a pair of thirds at recent FLEX Pros.
Abiad grew up as the skinny kid. In high school he branched out into football, gaining weight until he ballooned up to a chunky 230lbs. In May 2000 he attended his first bodybuilding show, the Toronto Pro/Am. He was in awe at the size and conditioning of the pros, prompting his decision to compete. From that day on it became a bigger part of his life.
