Johnnie Jackson finally hits paydirt in Canada

It took four years and 22 professional shows, but Johnnie Jackson finally stood alone this weekend in Montreal. Jackson notched his first career professional win, outdueling Darrem Charles and Quincy Taylor to capture top honors at the 2006 IFBB Montreal Pro Classic.

The subplots – Quincy Taylor vs. Darrem Charles, King Kamali in fourth ahead of Dennis Wolf and Mike Asiedu – were many. But in men’s bodybuilding, the night belonged to Jackson, as the 5-foot-8, 240-pound Texan finally received his due. Hear what Jackson had to say in the audio clip following his win below.
